Çalışmamızın amacı millî kültürümüzün önemli bir alt ögesi olan ağaç kültünün günümüze Türk edebiyatına simgesel değer olarak yansımasının tespiti olacaktır. Araştırma yöntemi olarak da doküman inceleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Kült kavramı; Türk kültüründe saygı gösterme, kutsallık atfetme anlamlarında kullanılmıştır. Fakat zaman içerisinde bu anlamlardan esinlenerek kültler yeni sembolik değerler kazanmıştır. Çalışmamızda tabiata ait bir nesne olan ağaç kültünün kazandığı yeni sembolik değerler bir roman dizisi üzerinden tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırmacıların çoğu mit, destan ve modern edebiyatın birbirini izleyen aşamalar olduğuna dikkat çekmişlerdir. Bundan dolayı mitsel arketipler modern romanlarda da varlığını devam ettirmişlerdir. Bu iddianın doğruluğu Sabır Ağacı roman dizisi üzerinde irdelenmiştir. Ağacın sembolik değerleri için Mustafa Necati Sepetçioğlu’nun “Sabır Ağacı” adlı roman dizisi incelenmiştir. Eser sekiz ayrı kitaptan oluşmaktadır: “Zaman Sahibi ve Toprak”, “Sahibini Arayan Toprak”, “Zaman Dar Bir Kapıda”, “Zaman Sarkacı”, “Zaman Dönümü”, “Zaman Yok”, “Zaman Uyanışı”, “Zaman Yürüyüşü”, “Sabır Ağacı” adlı eseri oluşturan sekiz ayrı eser taranarak ağaç kültünün simgesel değeri alıntılar yapılarak ortaya konmuş ve yorumlanmıştır. Ağaç kültünün sadece saygı gösterdiğimiz ve kutsallık atfettiğimiz bir kültten daha fazlası olduğu ortaya çıkarılmıştır.
The aim of our study will be to identify the reflection of the tree cult, which is an important sub-object of our national culture, as a symbolic value in Turkish literature to the present day. The method of research is also used as a method of document examination. The concept of culture is used in the Turkish culture in the sense of respect, devotion to holiness. But over time, inspired by these meanings, the cults gained new symbolic values. In our study, the new symbolic values gained by the tree cult, which is an object of nature, have been attempted to be identified through a series of novels. Most researchers have noted that the myth, the legend and modern literature are stages that follow each other. For this reason, the mythical archetypes have continued to exist in modern novels. The truth of this claim is found on the Roman series of the Tree of Patience. For the symbolic values of the tree, Mustafa Necati Sepetçioğlu's novel series "The Tree of Patience" has been studied. The work consists of eight distinct books: "Time Owner and Earth", "The Land Seeking His Owner", "Time In a Closed Door", "Time Scraper", "Time Return", "No Time", "Time Awakening", "Time Walk", "The Tree of Patience" by scanning eight distinct works that make up the work, the symbolic value of the tree cult was revealed and interpreted by quotes. It has been revealed that the tree cult is more than just a cult that we respect and devote sanctibility.
