Bu çalışmada, Türkiye’de yer alan illerin ekonomik ve sosyal açıdan gelişmişlik düzeyleri 31 değişken esas alınmak suretiyle incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın öncelikli amacı sosyoekonomik gelişmişliğin altında yatan temel etmenlerin faktör analizi ile belirlenmesi ve bununla birlikte 2014 yerel seçim sonuçlarına göre illerin oy dağılımlarıyla sosyoekonomik gelişmişlik düzeylerinin karşılaştırılmasıdır. Faktör analizi sonucunda ekonomik gelişmişlik ve sosyal gelişmişlik göstergeleri şeklinde isimlendirilen 2 temel faktör elde edilmiştir. İllerin faktör skorlarına göre sosyoekonomik gelişmişlik düzeyleri ve yerel seçimlerdeki oy dağılımları karşılaştırıldığında sosyoekonomik faktörler bakımından çok net olmamakla birlikte bir ilişki görülse bile daha çok Türkiye’deki seçmenlerin yerel seçim bile olsa oy dağılımlarını belirleyen esas faktörün o illerin sosyoekonomik gelişmişliği değil de kişilerin siyasi görüşleri olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.
In this study, the economic and social development levels of the provinces located in Turkey were studied by 31 variables based on the basis. The priority of the study is to identify the fundamental factors under socio-economic development by factor analysis and, however, comparing the levels of socio-economic development with the distribution of votes in the provinces according to the 2014 local election results. The analysis of the factor results in two key factors named in the form of economic development and social development indicators. According to the factor scores of the ILLs, compared to the levels of socio-economic development and the voting distribution in local elections, the relationship is not very clear in terms of socio-economic factors, even if more voters in Turkey are local elections, the main factor determining the voting distribution is the social-economic development of those provinces, but the political opinions of the people.
