Tasarlanan açık mekânlarda kullanıcı çeşitliliğine bağlı olarak kullanıcı ihtiyaçları, kullanıcı ihtiyaçlarının hangi etkinliklerle yapıldığı ve bu etkinliklerin hangi mekanlarda hangi tasarım ilkeleriyle dizayn edilmesi gerekliliği ise peyzaj tasarımcısı tarafından belirlenmesi gereken bir durumdur. Bu dizge içerisinde etkinliklerin yan yana gelme kurgusu peyzaj tasarımının başarısını oluşturur. Peyzaj mimarlığı eğitim süreci tasarımın yaşam boyu eğitim olmasını amaçlayan ve öğreten bir sistemdir. Eğitim sürecinde öğrencilere tasarımın özgün, yaratıcı ve probleme çözüm olma odağı iletilir ve kavratılır. Bu çalışmada peyzaj tasarım eğitim çalışması kapsamında 2017-2018 Eğitim-Öğretim güz döneminde KTÜ Peyzaj Mimarlığı Bölümü 3. sınıfta zorunlu bir ders olan Çevre Tasarım IV’ni alan öğrencilerin bir dönem boyunca tasarlamış oldukları proje ve süreci anlatılmıştır. Projenin çalışma alanı olarak Trabzon kent merkezinde Karagöz Meydanı olarak bilinen, etrafında pek çok tarihi yapı bulunduran, kente kimlik kazandırabilecek ve yoğun kullanıma sahip kent avlusu niteliğindedir. Sonuç olarak öğrenciler 16. Haftanın sonunda yaratıcı, özgün ve modern çizgilerle hem proje tasarım sürecine uygun, hem de kent kimliğini öne çıkaran bir tasarım süreci takip ederek ürünlerinin ortaya koymuşlardır.

Students who take the Environmental Design IV, which is a compulsory course in the classroom, are told about the project and process they have designed for a period of time. The work area of the project is known as the Karagöz Square in the city centre of Trabzon, with many historic structures around it, which can give the city the identity and the city garden with intense use. The students are 16. At the end of the week, with creative, original and modern lines, they presented their products by following a design process that fits both the project design process and highlights the city identity.
