Abstract:

In this study, it was aimed to evaluate father's participation in pre-school education according to teachers' views. The study is a case study of qualitative research methods. The working group formed a total of 37 pre-school teachers, including 30 female and 7 male pre-school teachers. In the collection of data, a semi-structured interview form was used. The obtained data was encoded and entered into the computer environment. The frequency distributions were examined by these digitized data. The information gathered from the interviews were gathered under the themes and interpreted. As a result; according to the observations of the teachers, it was determined that more mothers participated in the family education studies in the school. Mothers first meeting, parent meeting, individual interview, phone calls, in-class activities, food preparation etc. activities such as; mothers participated in other family participation studies but participation in the studies decreased. Fathers' family participation activities are lower in all activities than their mother participation. The participation of the father is the most end-of-year activity, followed by individual interviews and in-class activities.
