Abstract:

Different methods have been developed to transform individual decisions into social decisions. One of these methods is the Social Choice Theory (SST) and the Multi-Critical Decisioning Methods of the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) which has been high in recent years. These methods, which companies often use to use their limited resources in a suitable way beyond individual and public resources, have been discussed in this study. In this study, a literary scan on the aircraft choices carried out in the airlines discussed was carried out, determining which characteristics the aircraft were selected by the airlines. The SST and voting methods combined with AHP and a decision-making model was tried to reveal. This decision model has been selected between three aircraft carrying out flights on medium and short distances. With the opinion of six different experts working in one of the major airlines in Turkey, it has been decided which aircraft to be chosen. Although this study is a summer on the methods of decision-making in airlines, it also aimed to contribute to the work on SST and AHP; it has achieved results for this purpose.
