Abstract:

Law No. 6360 has caused significant and radical changes in many matters, such as the administrative structure of the local government system, the financial structure of the municipalities, the participation of the local people in politics, the provision of public services and the area of responsibility of the local government units. The number of major municipalities, which is 16 under the law of 6360, has risen to 30, the legal personality of the municipalities and villages within the major municipality borders has been transformed into one neighborhood. In Turkey, the Provincial Special Administrations, which have a rooted history in the local administration system, have also been established instead of closing the Investment Monitoring and Coordination Presidency. The township is designed to ensure integrity as a border of the city. The 660th Law and the Grand City Municipality status winner of Aydin was also influenced by this significant change and transformation movement. 490 villages and 36 municipalities located within the province borders have been shut down and transformed into neighbourhood. In this study, 100 old villages/new neighborhoods from 490 villages were interviewed, the data collected was evaluated by the SPSS 16 Statistics program, the 6360 law tested what results the establishment of new neighborhoods in the service and management of the new neighborhoods.
