The aim of this study is to reveal the awareness level of people about the social politics applied towards martyr's relative and veterans, to determine the perception of sufficiency about applied policies and also to investigate the effect of public awareness and perception of sufficiency about mentioned politics on the positive attitudes towards the government. In addition, it is aimed to find out whether the awareness level, perception of sufficiency about policies and the positive attitude towards the government differ according to the socio-demographic characteristics. The data were obtained through questionnaire applied to 382 participants living in Burdur city center and evaluated quantitatively. The percentile calculations, frequency, mean and standard deviation were used for evaluation of obtained data. In addition; t-test, One way Anova test, post-hoc analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis were applied. At the end of the analyzes, it was seen that the awareness level of people towards the social policy applied to the martyr's relative and veterans increased the perception of sufficiency about applied policies and their positive attitudes to the government. But, it was determined that the perception of sufficiency about the applied policies does not affect their positive attitudes towards the government. Besides, it has been detected that the awareness level of people differs according to the sociodemographic characteristics such as age, education level, monthly income, job and marital status but it does not change according to the gender. It was ascertained that the perception of sufficiency about applied policies differs according to the some sociodemographic characteristics such as age, education level and marital status, though, it does't differ in terms of monthly income, occupation and gender variables.
