Chilhood as an ideational space is related to the process by which the child as a subjective self acquires a social character. It can be said that this adventure for a collective imagination of the child and childhood thought shows a mainly modern character and has added to human conception of modernity. This state was partly differentiated in the postmodern period; the new times pointed at the development of technology, the rise of electronic age and the spread of information have shaped childhood thoughts around their own notions. In this study, the changing/transforming themes and rhetorical stresses in the transition form the modern period to postmodern will be dealt with from a historical perspective on the TRT indigenous children programs; the conception of childhood at different occasions and the positioning of the child as a social subject will be analyzed in the context of the TRT indigenous children programs. In this context, topics such as education, socialization, political subject are defined as thematic areas; the subject was evaluated looking at the epistemological frame of this themes. Finally, in the determined themes of this work on the construction of the child in the TRT children programs, breaks and ruptures in the historical process has been realized in parallel with the social transformation that Turkey has experienced as a whole.
