Abstract:

This study aims to better understand the historical background of the relations between China and the African continent, where 55 countries are still starting to increase their influence in the 1970s, the changes in the relations and the level achieved today. The study was limited to the time from the beginning of the Cold War until today. Relations in the context of a country-a continent have begun in a suitable environment in which the support of the non-connection stream by the parties and the possession of the same values have been created, and, despite being influenced by the changes that occur in the international system, have continued to be developed until today. In the beginning, China prioritized the African countries to take action in order to continue their ongoing geopolitical conflict with the West, their ideological discussions with the Soviet Union and their dispute with Taiwan effectively, while African countries also benefited of the support provided by China in their struggles to end European colonialism. Today, China’s support to Africa is concentrated, especially in the economic field. China-Africa relations have beenined in the framework of the corporate structure of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum since the 1980s.
