ÖĞRETMEN ADAYLARININ ŞİDDET KAVRAMINA İLİŞKİN ALGILARININ METAFOR ANALİZİ YOLUYLA İNCELENMESİ

Abstract:

Bu araştırmanın amacı, öğretmen adaylarının şiddet kavramına ilişkin algılarını metaforlar aracılığıyla tespit ederek karşılaştırmaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, Eğitim Fakültesi Sayısal, Sosyal, Sözel, Yabancı Diller ve Güzel Sanatlar Eğitimi alanlarındaki öğretmen adayları tarafından şiddet kavramının hangi metaforlar aracılığıyla algılanmakta olduğu ve aralarında bazı demografik özelliklerine göre farklılık olup olmadığı karşılaştırılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak yarı-yapılandırılmış anket formu kullanılmıştır. Form, demografik değişkenler ve katılımcıların "Şiddet…gibidir, çünkü…" cümlesini tamamlamaları istenen iki ayrı bölümden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada öğretmen adaylarının şiddet kavramına ilişkin metaforik veriler, şiddet kavramı ile ilgili yazılı açıklamalarından elde edilmiştir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma desenlerinden “olgu bilim” kullanılmıştır. Toplanan verilerin değerlendirilmesinde metaforik içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. Veriler öncelikle frekans ve yüzde tabloları halinde özetlenmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini 2016-2017 eğitim-öğretim yılının ikinci yarısında Edirne ilinde bulunan Trakya Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi öğretmen adayları oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu, Trakya Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi öğretmen adaylarından oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada, öğretmen adaylarının şiddet kavramına ilişkin geliştirdikleri kategoriler karşılaştırılarak sonuç bölümü oluşturulmuştur.

Teacher's Candidate's Relationship with the Candidate's Candidate's Relationship with the Metaphor Analysis

Abstract:

The aim of this research is to compare the teaching candidates’ perceptions of the concept of violence through metafores. For this purpose, the Faculty of Education has compared whether the concept of violence is perceived through which metaphors by teachers candidates in the fields of numerical, social, verbal, foreign languages and art and whether there are differences between them according to some demographic characteristics. In the research, a semi-constructed survey form was used as a data collection tool. The form consists of two separate sections that demographic variables and participants are asked to complete the phrase "Violence is because..." In the study, metaphoric data about the concept of violence of teachers candidates were obtained from written explanations about the concept of violence. The research has been used by the "event science" of the quality research patterns. Metaphoric content analysis was used to evaluate the collected data. The data is first summarized in frequency and percentage tables. The sample of the study; 2016-2017 educational year's second half is formed by teachers candidates at the University of Trakya Education Faculty located in Edirne. The research work group consists of teachers candidates at the University of Trakya School of Education. In the study, a result section was created by comparing the categories that teachers candidates developed regarding the concept of violence.

Examining Candidate Teachers’ Perception Of The Concept Of Violence Through Analysis Of Metaphors

Abstract:

The aim of this study is to determine and compare the perceptions of candidate teachers on the concept of violence through metaphors. In line with this aim, the metaphors used to perceive the concept of violence by candidate teachers in Education Faculty, Mathematics, Social and Verbal, Foreign Languages and Fine Arts Education departments and any variations by certain demographic features have been compared. The study used semi-structured survey form as data gathering tool. The form comprises two section including demographic variables and asking participants to complete the sentence "Violence is similar to…, because…". The study attained metaphorical data on the concept of violence in candidate teachers through their written statements on the concept of violence. The study utilized the qualitative study pattern of “phenomenology”. Metaphorical content analysis has been used to evaluate the data. The data have been summarized primarily as frequency and percentage charts. The sample group of the study consists of candidate teachers in Trakya University, Faculty of Education in Edirne Province during the second term of the 2016-2017 academic year. The study group comprises the sophomore candidate teachers in Trakya University, Faculty of Education. The study compares the categories developed by candidate teachers on the concept of violence to establish the conclusion section.
