Abstract:

Abstract The Austrian Jewish writer Zweig who committed suicide in 1942 with his second wife, is a writer known for his long stories and biographies of famous people in the century that he lived. In the only novel that Stefan Zweig completed, The Impatience of the Heart, a psychoanalytic analysis will be made to reveal the mental states of the characters. The work that requires Freudian analysis, will be examined according to the relationship of uneasy and suffering characters with their environment which is also mentioned in long stories of Zweig. In this study, the mental state of ill and unhealthy character Edith who aggressively behaves people who care about him will be examined. It is tried to be revealed the reflection of both physical and mental barriers with delusions that push the limits of compassion shown to him, sometimes leading to further dimensions. Abstract:

The Austrian Jewish writer Zweig, who committed suicide with his second wife in 1942, is a writer known for his long stories and biographies of personalities that hit the mark of the time he lived. Stefan Zweig’s only novel that can be completed, In the Untold Heart, we will do a psychoanalytic analysis to reveal the spiritual world in which the characters are inside. Specifically, this work that requires a resolution of Freud, we will refer to the relationships with the surrounding of the unhappy or spiritual suffering individuals that Zweig has also discussed in his long stories. In our work, we will place the spiritual world in which the sick and unhealthy Edith cruelly demonstrates against the people who appreciate him nearby. We will try to reveal the reflections of both physical and spiritual obstacles, along with their beliefs that can force the boundaries of mercy shown to him, and sometimes even bring it to advance.  Keywords: Stefan Zweig, Untouched Heart, Freud, Feeling of Sorrow and Innocence.
