Abstract:

Şiddet bireylerin toplumsal cinsiyet algıları ile şekillenmekte, toplumsal cinsiyet eşitsizliğine dayalı olarak varlığını sürdürmekte, normal bir davranış, iletişim ve ilişki biçimi olarak kabul görebilmektedir. Çocukluk çağında başlayan şiddet görme ve şiddet uygulama tutum ve davranışları yetişkinlik dönemine taşınmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı üniversite öğrencilerinin çocukluk çağı örselenme yaşantılarını, toplumsal cinsiyet algılarını, şiddet eğilimlerini ve şiddetle karşılaşma durumlarını incelemektir. Tanımlayıcı olarak yapılan araştırmanın evrenini, bir üniversitenin örgün öğretim programlarına kayıtlı öğrenciler oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada örneklem yöntemi kullanılmamış, evrenin tümüne elektronik ortamdan anket bağlantısı ile ulaşılmıştır. 5038 öğrenci ankete katılmış, anketleri tam olarak yanıtlayan 2356 öğrenciden elde edilen veriler değerlendirmeye alınmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan Soru Formu ile Toplumsal Cinsiyet Algısı Ölçeği, Çocukluk Çağı Örselenme Yaşantıları Ölçeği ve Şiddet Eğilimi Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın her aşamasında etik ilkelere sadık kalınmıştır. Çalışmaya katılan öğrencilerin çocukluk dönemlerinde fiziksel (%20.2) , psikolojik (%37.8) cinsel (%9.4), toplumsal (%17.1) ve ekonomik (%14.6) şiddet yaşadığı, %25.3’ünün şiddetle karşılaştığında hiçbir tepki göstermediği, %40’ının yaşadıkları şiddet nedeni ile özgüvenlerini kaybettikleri, %32.6’sının öfkelendiğinde kendisini kontrol edemediğini ifade ettiği belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin Toplumsal Cinsiyet Algısı Ölçeği puan ortalaması 73.528.9, Çocukluk Çağı Örselenme Yaşantıları Ölçeği puan ortalaması 52.9811.5, Şiddet Eğilimi Ölçeği puan ortalaması ise 39.259.2 olarak bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin şiddet türleri ile karşılaştıkları, çocukluk dönemi örselenme durumlarının, toplumsal cinsiyet algılarının ve şiddet eğilimlerinin orta düzeyde olduğu ve bu değişkenler arasında anlamlı ilişki olduğu belirlenmiştir.

Abstract:

Violence is formed by individual social gender perceptions, continues to exist on the basis of social gender inequality, can be seen as a normal way of behavior, communication and relationship. In childhood, the behavior and attitude of violence and the practice of violence begins in adulthood. The aim of this study is to study the childhood experiences of university students, social gender perceptions, tendencies of violence and situations of violence. The universe of research done as a defining has been formed by students registered in a university's curriculum. The method of sampling was not used in the research, it was reached to the entire universe by an online survey link. 5038 students participated in the survey, the data obtained from 2356 students who responded in full to the survey was taken to the assessment. As a data collection tool, the researchers have prepared the Question Form with the Social Sexual Perception Scale, Childhood Orthodox Life Scale and Violence Trend Scale. At every stage of the research, he remained faithful to the ethical principles. The study found that students experienced physical (%20.2) , psychological (%37.8) sexual (%9.4), social (%17.1) and economic (%14.6) violence during their childhood periods, that 25.3 percent did not react when they were confronted with violence, that 40 percent lost confidence with the cause of violence they experienced, and that 32.6 percent did not control themselves when they were angry. The student’s social gender perception scale score average was 73.52 July8.9, the childhood experience scale score average was 52.98 July11.5, the violence trend scale score average was 39.25 July9.2. It has been determined that the kinds of violence students encounter, the childhood status, social gender perceptions, and the tendencies of violence are on a medium level, and that there is a meaningful relationship between these variables. The average score of students' Gender Perception Scale was 73.52 8.9, the average score of Childhood Trauma Scale was 52.98 11. 5, and the average score of the Violence Tendency Scale was found to be 39.25 9.2. This study concluded that the students encountered with the types of violence, childhood traumatic situations, gender perceptions and violence tendencies were moderate and that a significant relationship was determined between these variables.
