Bu araştırmada fen bilgisi öğretmen adaylarının öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumları cinsiyet, mezun olunan lise türü, üniversite, sınıf düzeyi, anne ve baba eğitim durumu değişkenleri açısından incelenmiştir. Tarama modelinin kullanıldığı araştırmaya, 2008–2009 eğitim-öğretim yılında Gazi, Ahi Evran ve Kastamonu Üniversitelerinin Fen Bilgisi Öğretmenliği Anabilim Dalında okuyan 242’si kız, 140’ı erkek toplam 382 öğretmen adayı katılmıştır. Araştırmada Akkuzu ve Akçay (2008) tarafından geliştirilen ve Cronbach Alpha güvenirlik katsayısı α = 0.965 olan öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutum ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre, kızların erkeklere göre öğretmenlik mesleğine daha pozitif tutum sergiledikleri söylenebilir. Anadolu öğretmen lisesi mezunlarının tutum puan ortalamasınınyüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca ebeveynleri üniversite mezunu olan öğretmen adayları ve dördüncü sınıf öğretmen adaylarının tutumların olumsuz yönde değiştiği görülmektedir.

In this study, the knowledge of the teaching teachers’ attitudes to the teaching profession of the candidates were studied in terms of gender, graduate high school type, university, class level, mother and father educational status variables. In the study used by the screening model, in the 2008-2009 educational year in Gazi, Ahi Evran and Kastamonu universities, 242 girls, 140 men and a total of 382 teaching candidates participated. The study developed by Akkuzu and Akçay (2008) and used the attitude scale towards the teaching profession with the Cronbach Alpha reliability ratio α = 0.965 . According to research findings, girls can be said to have a more positive attitude towards the teaching profession than men. The average attitude score of the Anatolian high school graduates was high. It is also seen that the attitudes of teachers candidates and fourth-class teachers candidates who have their parents graduated from university have changed negatively.
