In educational psychology, style has been recognized as one of the major constructs when considering individual differences in the learning context. In that context, a variety of style constructs like cognitive styles, learning styles, information processing and thinking styles is considered. There has been a mass of confusion surrounding definitions of style and different theorists have been working with different concepts and definitions when discussing styles. Some theorists have named similar concepts with different labels; some others have given the same name (label) to different style dimensions. This makes difficult to compare the relevant research finding and reach generalized results.
