The purpose of this study is to determine the problems faced by the 9th-grade Physics-Chemistry-Biology (PCB) teachers in science education and suggest solutions for these problems. For this purpose, a case study was used to describe the in-depth study of the process in the study and the cause-and-effect relationships. The study group was selected with purposeful sampling method. The study group consists of twenty-four 9th-grade PCB teachers working in secondary education institutions in the city center of Erzurum in the academic year of 2017-2018. In the study, a semi-structured interview form was used as a data collection tool. The data obtained from the interview form was analyzed by content analysis. The responses of PBC teachers to the questions on the interview form were coded and categorized from similar codes. The findings of the study, the subjects and the reasons for the difficulty in the PCB courses, teacher opinions about the adequacy of textbooks, the basic problems experienced in teaching and learning the PBC courses and the sources of these problems were presented. The results of the study were presented with recommendations that will enable the PCB courses to be taught and learned in a better way.
