Bu çalışmada amaç, Türkiye’nin ihracatında yer alan dört önemli tarım ürününün uzmanlaşma seviyesini ve rekabet gücünü Karşılaştırmalı İhracat Performansı (KİP) indeksi aracılığıyla ölçmektir. Çalışma 2001-2016 dönemini kapsamaktadır ve incelediğimiz ürünler portakal, mandalina, limon ve yaş kayısıdır. Çalışmanın ampirik analiz kısmında KİP indeksleri kullanılarak Türkiye’nin konu edilen ürünlerdeki ihracat uzmanlaşma düzeyine ait sonuçlar, o üründeki ihracat dünya klasmanında yer alan ilk dört ülke ile mukayese edilmiştir. KİP indeksine ile elde edilen bulgulara göre, karşılaştırmalı ihracat performansı en güçlü olan ürünler sırasıyla mandalina, portakal ve limondur. Ayrıca, karşılaştırmalı ihracat performansı en zayıf olan ürün ise yaş kayısıdır.
The aim of this study is to measure the level of specialization and competitiveness of the four major agricultural products involved in the export of Turkey through the Comparative Export Performance Index (CIP). The study covers the period 2001-2016, and the products we study are orange, mandaline, lemon and age. In the empirical analysis of the study, the results of the export specialization level in the products concerned in Turkey using the KIP index have been compared with the first four countries listed in the world rankings of exports. According to the findings obtained by the KIP index, comparative export performance-powered products are mandaline, orange and lemon, respectively. Furthermore, the product that has a comparative export performance is the age indicator.
The purpose of this study is to measure the specialization level and competititveness of Turkey's four major agricultural products through Comparative Export Performance (CEP) index. This study covers 2001-2016 period and the products we examine are orange, satsuma, lemon and fresh apricot. Empirical analysis of this study, results of Turkey's export specialization level in mentioned products were evaluated by comparing Turkey with the four most competitive countries in the world ranking of related products. According to the findings obtained with the CEP index, satsuma, orange and lemon are the products which have the strongest comparative export performance respectively. Additionally, apricot is the product which has the weakest comparative export performance.
