At what level is the affect of stress on the performances of the medical doctors and nurses that work for the above mentioned institutions that is caused by the stress sources? A survey had been developed for the research, in order to find out the remarks of the medical doctors and nurses that work for the hospitals on the issue of their performance getting affected by the sources of stress. The required permission for this survey to be applied at the hospitals had been taken from Republic of Turkey, Governor's Office of Ankara, Provincial Health Directorate. After which, open ended questions have been asked to the medical doctors and the nurses that work for the state hospitals in respect of their working systems in order to gather information regarding their sources of stress. The sources of stress that have been mentioned in the literature and in the application had been expressed as the survey questions and a draft survey had been developed. Consultations with the experts had been made and in accordance with their critisisms, the required corrections have been made on the draft survey and the data collection tool had been given its final form. The survey form that is used for the research consisted of three sections. In the introduction section, questions that are asked are used for the purposes of collecting the personal information of the participants. In the second section of the survey, questions that are asked are in relation to the sources of stress of the medical doctors and the nurses; and in the third section, the questions are selected on the basis to collect information in respect of the effects of such sources of stress in the performances of the participants. The studies in respect of the validity and reliability of the survey had been undertaken by the researcher. In order to define the reliability of the scale, Cronbach Alpha coefficient had been observed. After this, the factor analysis in respect of the survey had been performed. When the factor analysis had been performed on the scale, it has been observed that the scale has got a three factors structure that explains 41 % of the total variance. Such factors are the working conditions, the working process and the perception of performance. In accordance with the findings, the reliability of the scale of the sources of stress that had been applied to the medical doctors and the administrators and the condition of stress affecting their performance had been accepted.
