Abstract:

In the article, the first sixteen numbers of the Irade-i Milly newspaper, which were published during the period at which Atatürk was in Sivas, were examined. In particular, focusing on the topics dealt with in the headlines, the awareness of public work attempted to be created by the propaganda activity carried out was evaluated. The propaganda activity against the Damat Ferit government in this regard is one of the important topics discussed in the newspaper. The protest telegraphs in the newspaper support the National Struggle sent from the different regions of the country, the telegraphs in the province, while strengthening the people's commitment to the struggle; the information received from the occupied areas in the newspaper has been effective in the proper learning and evaluation of the development of the people. In the newspaper there are many articles on the occupations of the Opposition States, the activities of minorities, who the Kova-i Millions is composed and for which purpose it works. In the study, these articles were studied and focused on the propaganda direction of the writings.
