Abstract:

Abstract:

Antisemitism is a concept that expresses hostility to Jewish religion, race, culture or nation. When the Nazis came to power in Germany, they conducted an intense propaganda activity to form a strong anti-Semitist perception in the minds of the German people. In fact, the German people have developed a speech of hate to the Jews. The success of Nazi propaganda in building anti-Semitism has accelerated the process of isolating Jews from the German society, sending them to labor camps, and even getting unhuman treatment in the progressive process. In this study, the Nazis tried to figure out how and in what direction they used propaganda in the construction of anti-Semitism. For this purpose, the study first sought to explain the view of the Nazi ideology on Anti-Semitism. Thus, the four propaganda visuals (War Criminal, Cooperative, Communism, Jewish Race) identified using the aim-based sample method in the propaganda images printed in the Nazi German Period (1933-1945) were analyzed from the light of the myth of the French language scientist Roland Barthes.
