The aim of this study is to examine its effects on self-value, loneliness, and the general feeling of membership, by revealing the difference between psychological exclusion and social exclusion. The sample of the study was made by 221 university students who are studying at Necmettin Erbakan University. For the purpose of data collection, the Social Exclusion Scale for Adults, the Rosenberg Identity Respect Scale, the UCLA Solitude Scale and the General Assistance Scale were used. In order to determine the relationships between the variables included in the study, the analysis of the correlation, the basic effects of psychological exclusion and social exclusion were also conducted by MANOVA and the follow-up ANOVA. The results showed that both the basic effects of psychological exclusion and social exclusion are meaningful. The common effects of psychological exclusion and social exclusion are not meaningful. It appears that psychological exclusion has a higher self-value, its fundamental impact on the feeling of loneliness and general membership compared to social exclusion. The results are discussed in the light of literature.
