Countries attach importance to tourism education in order to promote tourism activities, thus, gaining pow-er in tourism markets. The most crucial indicator of this is starting up new schools offering tourism education. Re-cently, there have been some arguments on the contents in institutions operating in the field of tourism education and tourism sector. Discussions framed within the context of vocational and technical education remain aloof from constructing a mutual ground in such developing countries as Turkey. In this study, problems related to tourism education and levels of education were taken into account with respect to contents and methodology. This study aims to contribute to those who are into tourism education and in particular to those involved in tourism education planning.
