Information need in the field of healthcare can be met from many different sources today. Internet and social media tools are surely among the most commonly used sources. The fact that people meet their need for health related information by using these sources and it forces the health information providers to use those tools. The purpose of this study is to analyze the use of social media tools in the context of healthcare communication and to present what kind of a strategy must be followed in order to give the desired results by health communication messages generated through social media. In this context, content analysis has been made by analyzing content and interaction rates of the shares of some institutions in healthcare sector in social media. The purpose of this study, the use of social media tools in the context of health communication analyzes the situation, health communication messages will be generated through social media to give the desired results is to demonstrate how a strategy must be determined. In this context, some organizations in the health sector have made through social media content and interaction rates of the shares is made by examining the content analysis.
