Abstract:

The aim of this study is to reveal the views of young girls between 18 and 28 years of age about marriage. There are two kinds of young girls who have been given their views on marriage and their choice of spouses. The first study aimed at revealing the characteristics young girls want to marry and the person they are looking for to marry. In the framework of this goal, the first study group consists of 130 young girls between 18 and 25 years of age who continue to university. In the analysis of the research data, it has been used the visual and content analysis. When the theme of marriage reasons is examined, a total of 7 categories have been determined, including family establishment, faith, curiosity, belonging, continuation of social order, having children and sharing life. When young girls are studied the characteristics they are looking for in the person they are thinking of marrying, the basic categories such as being faithful, reliable, understandable, physical appearance in place, respected, caring, and faithful are determined. The second study was conducted with 94 young girls aged 19-28 years.
