Çalışmada, kış turizmi açısından oldukça büyük bir potansiyele sahip olan Sarıkamış kış turizmi destinasyonunun markalaması üzerine mevcut durumun belirlenmesi ve eksiklerin paydaş bakış açısıyla değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda destinasyonda turizm konusunda bilgi, tecrübe ve yönetsel yetkinliğe sahip yerel yöneticiler, özel sektör yöneticileri ve akademisyenlerden oluşan toplam 16 paydaş ile görüşülmüştür. Çalışma verileri yüz yüze derinlemesine mülakat yoluyla elde edilmiş ve elde edilen verilerin yorumlanması konusunda içerik analizine başvurulmuştur. Çalışma sonucunda; Sarıkamış’ın kış turizmi açısından büyük bir potansiyele sahip olduğu, fakat potansiyelini beklenilen düzeyde harekete geçiremediği görülmüştür. Yine çalışmada paydaş grubunun, bölgenin özellikle kış turizmi açısından gelişmesi hususunda önerilerine de yer verilmiştir
