Abstract:

İletişim eğitimi, sosyal bilimlerin bir alt disiplini olarak hem teorik hem de pratik eğitimi kapsayan disiplinler arası bir alan olarak değerlendirilebilir. Entelektüel düzeyde bilgi üretiminden iletişim sektörünün ihtiyaç duyduğu her türlü elemanı yetiştirme çabasına kadar iletişim eğitiminin varlığına ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Bu çalışmada Türkiye’de iletişim fakülteleri ve iletişim akademisyenleri bağlamında mevcut durumu sorgulayan ve bazı veriler ışığında öngörülere ulaşmaya olanak veren değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır. Mevcut durumunun barındırdığı karmaşık problemlere rağmen hem akademinin hem de sektörün genel fotoğraftan kaynaklanan yapısal sorunlara eğilmesi bir gereklilik olarak ortadadır

Communication education can be assessed an area covers theoretical and practical education that multi discipliner branch of social sciences. Communication education is needed to produce intellectual knowledge to educate all personnel that needed to communication sector. This paper aims to investigate and evaluate present condition of communication faculties and communication academics in light of some data. Although present condition has some problems, academy and sector should seek solutions of structural problems arise general picture
