The speaking skill, which is among basic language skills of mother tongue teaching, has great importance. When the children start going the school, they have already learned how to speak. It is aimed that their speaking skill are improved by teachers as they start to school. It is important to develop the speaking skill at primary, middle and high school grades. The most important source that leads the teachers for the education of speaking skill same as the other skills of the teaching of mother tongue is the "curriculum". For this reason, all the principles of the verbal lecture should be given at attainments related to speaking skill of "Turkish language curriculum” and "Turkish language and literature curriculum ". Being able to speak accurately, beautifully and impressively has become important for every profession in this age. In this article, attainments of speaking skills of the 2017 Turkish curriculum (5, 6, 7 and 8th grades) are investigated and compared with the Turkish curriculums of 2006 (6, 7 and 8th grades) and 2015 (5, 6, 7 and 8th grades). Deficiencies in terms of verbal lecture elements of speaking skill attainment existed in the 2017 Turkish curriculum (5, 6, 7 and 8th grades) are identified and proposals are given.
