Abstract:

In this study, the Adnan Menderes period (1950-1960) discussed the Turkish-Irak relations. Work, entrance and three sections are made up. In the first part of the study, the Republic period (1923-1950) revealed the main lines of the Turkish-Irak relations. The first part of the study focused on the arrival of Adnan Menderes to power and the Turkish-Irak relations between 1950 and 1954. When this is done, II. Polarisations that occurred after the World War and the Cold War process were taken into account. The second part of the study describes the relations between Turkey and Iraq between 1954 and 1957. When these relations were revealed, the policy of the Middle East followed by the United States in the context of Russia's competition was also taken into account. The third part of the study is about the relations between Turkey and Iraq between 1957 and 1960. In this section, it focused on the policies towards Turkmen in Iraq after 1958, and the attitude of Turkey. The results are based on the information and assessments obtained using both first-hand and research works.
