The aim of this study is to determine whether there is a causal relationship between economic growth and inflation in Russian economy. In order to achieve this purpose, Granger and Toda Yamamoto causality tests were performed to the quarterly variables for the period between 2011 and 2019. These data were obtained from the World Bank and OECD websites. All data used in the study were seasonally adjusted. EViews9 program was used in all analyzes performed in the study. As a result of the empirical analysis, it was found that there is a relationship between inflation and economic growth in the Russian economy, and it is concluded that while inflation affects economic growth, economic growth does not affect inflation. This result is similar to the results obtained from most of the studies investigating the relationship between inflation and economic growth in economic literature.
