The subject of the study is to investigate the efficiency of the healthcare systems of the Federal subjects of Russia Federal Districts (Republic, Territory Cities of Federal Importance, Region and Autonomous Area). The aim of this study is to measure the efficiency of individual healthcare systems in federal regions in 2017. Constant-scale and variable-scale methods of non-parametric, input-oriented Data Envelopment Analysis have been used for efficiency analysis. In this study, the number of doctors, nurses and hospital beds per ten thousand people was used as input variable, and life expectancy at birth, morbidity rate per thousand people and infant mortality rate were used as output variable. The findings of study found, as a result of the constant and variable scale analysis, that four regions were effective in the analysis of the Federal Regions. It is concluded that the life expectancy at birth in Russian Federation was sufficient in almost all subjects, but the number of patients and infant mortality rate should be less with the current resources.
