Toplumun en küçük öğesi olan, topluma ait maddî ve manevî bütün değerleri bünyesinde barındıran aile kurumunu öğrenmeden geçmiş ve günümüzü anlamak, dönemler arasında ilişki kurmak; toplumsal, ailevî ve nihayetinde bireysel refleksleri algılamak çok güçtür. Aile toplumun temel taşı niteliğine bürünmüş, onun bozulması, toplumun dağılmasına kadar varmış; onun şekillenmesi ile de toplumların inşası ve bekası mümkün olmuştur. Destanlar ise, bir milletin yahut toplumun hayatında derin izler bırakmış olayları anlatan, genellikle manzum, bazen ise manzum-mensur karışık türde yazılan, bizdeki genel adı “ozan” olan bir anlatıcı tarafından, bir dinleyici kitlesi önünde müzik eşliğinde veya bir ezgiyle söylenen, ulusların ortaya çıkardığı sözlü/yazılı edebî yaratmalardır. Bir yerde destan anlatıldığı zaman anlatılanlar yaşlıları geçmişe, anılarına götürürken gençleri de geçmişte yaşamış olan atalarına hayran bırakmakta ve onlar gibi olmak için heveslendirmektedir. Her millet kendi destanlarında kendi geçmişini bulur. Bu geçmişe, aile kurumunun dünü de dahildir. Bu çalışmada, Türk kültürünün en önemli sözlü gelenek ürünlerinden biri olan destan türünün örneklerinden, Kıpçak sahasında yazılmış olan Kazak ve Kırgız destanlarının Türk Dil Kurumu Yayınları tarafından yayımlanmış olan örnekleri incelenecek, bireyin doğumundan ölümüne kadar sürdürdüğü gelenek ve göreneklerin karşılaştırmalı çözümlemesi, “aile” kurumu ve dolayısıyla topluma ait manevi değerler de ele alınarak
It is very difficult to understand the past and present family institution, which is the smallest element of society, which contains all the material and spiritual values of society, and to establish relationships between periods; to perceive social, family and eventually individual reflections. The family has become the basic stone of society, its disintegration has come to the disintegration of society; its formation and the construction of societies and the construction of societies have become possible. Destans are the literary creations that are often written in manzum, sometimes manzum-mensur mixed kind, by a narrative with the general name "ozan" in us, speaking in music accompanied by a audience or by a speech, by the nations revealed. When the story is told somewhere, the stories bring the elderly to the past, their memories, while the young people admire their ancestors who have lived in the past and encourage them to be like them. Each nation finds its own past in its own stories. This is also the history of the family. In this study, the examples of the type of castan, which is one of the most important oral traditions of Turkish culture, will be studied by the Turkish Language Institution Publications of the Kazak and Kyrgyz castan, which is written in the Kıpçak field, the comparative analysis of the traditions and habits that the individual continues from birth to death, the "family" institution and therefore the spiritual values of society, also addressed.
