Bu araştırmanın amacı lise öğrencilerinin okumaya ilişkin tutumlarını çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelemektir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Bursa’da bir devlet lisesinde öğrenim görmekte olan 522 lise öğrencisi oluşturmuştur. Veri toplama aracı olarak “Okumaya Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde aritmetik ortalama, standart sapma, bağımsız t testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre lise öğrencilerinin okumaya ilişkin tutumlarının yüksek düzeyde olduğu bulunmuştur. Bunun yanı sıra lise öğrencilerinin okumaya ilişkin tutumlarının cinsiyet ve evde kitaplık bulunma değişkenlerine göre ise anlamlı şekilde farklılaştığı tespit edilmiştir. Buna göre kız öğrencilerin okumaya ilişkin tutumlarının nispeten daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca evde kitaplığı bulunan öğrencilerin okumaya ilişkin tutumlarının nispeten daha yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır.
The purpose of this research is to study high school students’ attitudes towards reading from a variety of variables. The research study group formed 522 high school students who are studying at a state high school in Bursa. As a data collection tool, the "Listening Attitude Measurement" was used. Data analysis used arithmetic average, standard deviation, independent t test and one-way variance analysis. Research finds that high school students’ attitudes towards reading are high. In addition, the attitudes of high school students to read have been found significantly different according to gender and the variations in the library in the home. This indicates that the girls’ attitudes towards reading are relatively higher. It is also found that students with a library at home have a relatively higher attitude towards reading.
