Abstract:

The fact that the social harmony of the Syrian refugees who migrate to Turkey is not achieved in the desired way and that there is no policy for refugees that makes the social harmony and acceptance of the refugees quite difficult. This problem is not only the refugees, but also the people living in areas with a large number of refugees, especially in Turkey. The focus group meeting was planned with the aim of evaluating the views and attitudes of 6 women negotiators living in the Altındağ region of Ankara and who actively use the social service center and express their problems with their Syrian neighbors. After this meeting, the Syrian women were discussed with negotiators and they were given their views on their lives in Turkey and the local people. The views of Turkish participants about the Syrians have been evaluated and informed on the correct, formal and legal basis, with the aim of changing different and misconceptions.            The findings obtained from the study have found that Turkish participants have many different, misleading and exaggerated opinions about Syrian guests, and that they have no healthy information about the legal regulations and the rights granted. The participants that after the information session and conversations with the Syrian participants their views changed and their awareness increased. Similar studies are recommended to be repeated with a wider population.
