Anadolu’da dokuma kültürünün köklü bir gelenek oluşturduğu önemli merkezlerden birisi de Muğla ilidir. Dokumalarının sahip olduğu kendine özgü renk, motif ve desen özelliği ile ayrı bir yeri olan yörede, el dokuması halıcılık ve düz dokumacılık Bodrum, Fethiye ve Milas ilçeleri başta olmak üzere birçok ilçe ve onların köylerinde yaygın olarak sürdürülmektedir. Milas halısı, Kaya halısı, Bodrum kilimleri, Eldirek kilimleri, Seydiler kilimleri Muğla’nın bilinen dokumalarından bazılarıdır. Anadolu insanının günlük yaşamı içerisinde geçmişten bugüne önemli bir yer tutan bu dokumalar döşeme, yer yaygısı, yük sarma, taşıma, depolama vb. birçok kullanım amacı için üretilmişler ve dokumacının yaşamını kolaylaştırmışlardır. Bu çalışmada da Muğla ve yöresinde, geçmişten bugüne üretilen ve günlük yaşam içerisinde kullanımı halen geçerliliğini koruyan depolama ve taşıma amaçlı dokumalar incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla üretilen heybe, torba (çanta), çuval ve mafraş gibi dokumalar kullanılan hammadde, dokuma tekniği, renk, motif ve desen özellikleri açısından değerlendirilerek yöre kültüründeki yerleri açıklanmıştır. Yeşil, mavi, kırmızı, kınalı sarı, pembe, mor ve beyaz dokumalarda kullanılan renklerdir. Gül bahçe, koçboynuzu, turna, pıtırak, koyungözü dokumalarda genellikle rastlanan motiflerdir. Anahtar Kelimeler: Muğla, halı, düz dokuma, heybe, torba, çuval, mafraş. Abstract Mugla province is one of the major centers which creates a long tradition of weaving culture in Anatolia. The weavings produced in the region with the distinctive features of colors, motifs and patterns has a special place in Turkish weaving culture. Hand-woven carpet and flat weaving in many towns and villages especially in Bodrum, Fethiye and Milas are extensively carried out. Milas carpets, Kaya carpets, Bodrum kilims, Eldirek kilims, Seydiler kilims are some of the best known weavings of Muğla. These weavings that holds an important place from past to present days in the daily lives of Anatolian people, produced for many purposes such as upholstery fabrics, floor mats, cargo wrapping, transport, storage and so on and have facilitated the lives of weavers. In this study, weavings of storage and transportation were examined that produced from past to present and used in the daily life in Mugla and its districts. Weavings woven fort this purpose such as saddlebag (purse), carrierbag, woven sacks and mafraş were evaluated in terms of used raw materials, weaving techniques, colors, motifs and patterns and described their place in the local culture. Green, blue, red, red-legged, yellow, pink, purple and white are the colors used in weaving. Rose garden, the ram's horn, pike, pıtırak, sheep's eye are motifs that typically encounter in weavings.
