Abstract:

Family is stil the most important institution today in spite of its changing definition and content. Open or closed family policies that are realized in order to protect and support family in periods it becomes powerless, in essense, aim to empower this unit. Refugees, on the other hand, are people who either leave their Country due to the reasons such as war, discrimination, ete. or demand to take shelter in another state. These people are groups that are in a vulnerable situation because ofvarious traumas and need special care. Because of this reason the refugee dimension has to be ineluded in the current family policies. The family policies and the policies which, are about refugees in internationaf level existing in this study are going to be analyzed in the family dimension and the focus of attention is going to be the proposals for solution to the issue.
