Abstract:

Recently, osteoporosis was a significant public health problem. Expecially, decreased estrogen level during the menapouse process increases bone resorbtion and osteoporosis developrnent rate. Cenetic factors, shortness and thinnes, vitamine D deficiency, insufficient calcium intake, sedentary life style, smoking and some drugs increase the risk of osteoporosis. This research was targeted to describe relationship between osteoporosis with life style in 35 years old and up women in Ordu. A total of 197 women that aplied menapouse clinic of Birth and Child Hospital in Ordu were chosen for the study. The results were evaluated statistically using mean, the percentage and chi square tests. İt was found a meaningfull relationship between osteoporosis with women descriptive characteristics, and fertility charactehstics, and life style
