It is the human baby who needs help and support the most and for a long time among the livings. The child coming to the earth without preparation and protection has to gain support from a guide in order to survive. It is his/her parents who prepare him/ her for the life and meet his/her spiritual and material needs from the very first day. Parents have some responsibilities such as teaching the native language, getting them to accept the rules of the society in which they live, passing on the culture and providing every kind of knowledge which will be useful in their future lives. The child cared and supported by the parents or living with them will enjoy the delight of life and can have the necessary energy in order to be successful. However, the brokenup of the families as a result of deaths or divorces either interrupts the education and socializing process of the child or affects these processes unfavorably. Deprived of his/her parents due to the deaths or divorces, the child’s financial and psycho-social needs can’t be fully met. The child will have to confront with living alone without the feelings of love, spiritual support, care and affection. The child seeing the broken-up of the family in his/her school age will not be able to have the motivation necessary for the academic success and his success will decrease. The study dealing with the social problems which the children of the broken-up families have aims to measure the direct relationship between the family and the child. The study assessing the results of the practical field research focuses on the functions of the family institution in the individual and social life and the bond between the education and family institution.
