Ministry of Family and Social Policies, General Directorate of Services for Persons with Disabilities and the Elderly carried out a project with the title of “Improved Integration of Disabled Persons into Society”. One of the most significant activities of the project was strengthening the capacity of civil society organisations of/for persons with disabilities through training programmes held in 16 provinces with the participation of 1258 persons. As per questionnaires implemented before and after the trainings, the average acknowledgement level of participants which was 1.85 out of 5 in terms of benefiting from European Union funds and 2.11 in terms of Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities increased up to 4.12 by the end of the trainings. This result is of capital importance as it indicates to the need of civil society organisations for trainings and to what extent this need is fulfilled by the trainings provided.
