Abstract:

nbsp; Felsefe, tarih, matematik gibi oluşum geccedil;mişi en eski bilimlerden biri de coğrafya ilmidir. Yaklaşık M. Ouml;. III. yuuml; yıl sonlarından buyana g cent; egraph cent; e ya da geoprafica adı altında ccedil;alışmalar yapılmış olup, guuml;nuuml;muuml;z duuml;nyasının hemen her uuml;lkesinde, ilk ouml;ğretim ve orta ouml;ğretim kademelerinde eğitimi; yuuml;ksek ouml;ğretimde ise, araştırma ve uygulamaları yapılmaktadır. Bu bağlamda, uuml;lkemizde de hiccedil; olmazsa XX. Yuuml;zyıl başlarından buyana coğrafyanın, hem eğitimi, hem de araştırmaları ve ouml;ğretimi yapılmaktadır. Ancak bu ilimde, ouml;rneğin esas tema, buna dayalı başlıca araştırma youml;ntemleri, duuml;şuuml;nce ilkeleri ve ifade teknikleri gibi ouml;nemli bilimsel youml;ntem konuları uuml;zerinde, araştırmacılar arasında henuuml;z bir konsensus oluşamadığı gouml;ze ccedil;arpmaktadır. Sanırım bu ouml;nemli sorunda, uuml;lkemizde bu ilmin kurucuları ve onların yetiştirdiği coğrafyacıların eserlerinde analiz ve sentez ettikleri fikirlerin, yeterince anlaşılamaması rol oynamaktadır. In this context, in Turkey education and research in geography together with the training of teachers of geography have been carried out, at least, since the beginning of the 20th century . However, it is evident in this science that there is no consensus among researchers as to the important issues related to the scientific method.nbsp; For example, the main theme, certain research methods, principles of thought and the techniques of expression. In my opinion, the fact that in Turkey the ideas analyzed and synthesized by the founders of this science and the geographers raised by them in their studies are not sufficiently understood plays an important role in this serious problem.nbsp; I am of the opinion that presenting the main issue and research methods, principles of thought and expression techniques in an ordered way in our study will contribute to the issues of the main theme and method will assist geography teachers, undergraduate students and postgraduate researchers to develop a way of overcoming the above mentioned problems.
