Abstract:

Ouml;ZET Stratejik merkez olmasının yanı sıra iktisadicirc; accedil;ıdan buuml;yuuml;k ouml;nem taşımasından dolayı tarihi suuml;reccedil; iccedil;erisinde pek ccedil;ok devletin muuml;cadelesine sahne olan Guuml;muuml;şhane, XV. yuuml;zyılda Osmanlı idaresi altına girmişti. Osmanlı idaresi Guuml;muuml;şhane uuml;zerinde titizlikle durmuş ve Kanuni Sultan Suuml;leyman zamanında yeniden yapılandırılmıştı. Nitekim bu oluşum iccedil;erisinde hem bouml;lgenin hem de uuml;lkenin ekonomisine ciddi katkısı olan Guuml;muuml;şhane, XVII. yuuml;zyılda Osmanlı Devletirsquo;nin ldquo;en muuml;cessem ve muazzam mukatalsquo;alarındanrdquo; birisi olarak tanımlanmıştı. Yetmiş kadar maden ocağının bulunduğu Guuml;muuml;şhane, Anadolursquo;daki tek guuml;muuml;ş madeni konumuna sahipti. Ayrıca ihtiyaccedil; duyulan bakır sikkelerin karşılandığı merkezlerdendi. İktisadi ehemmiyeti yanında ouml;zellikle seferler sırasında mevcut ihtiyaccedil;ların karşılanması iccedil;in seferber edilen Guuml;muuml;şhane mukataasının XVII. yuuml;zyılda madenlerinin nitelikleri, madencilerin statuuml;leri, mukataanın işletilmesi ve devletin sosyal ekonomik politikası, arşiv kayıtları esas alınarak ortaya konulmuştur. Anahtar Kelimeler: Canca, Guuml;muuml;şhane, Maden, Mukataa, İltizam, Emanet, Darphacirc;ne, Madenci nbsp; ABSTRACT Guuml;muuml;shane, being at the centre of power struggles of a number of countries not only for itrsquo;s strategic importance but also economic significance throughout the history, went under the reign of Ottomans in 17th century. Paying attention on the city, Ottomans re-constructed it during the reign Suuml;leyman the Magnificent. As a result of this in 17th century, Guuml;muuml;shane was described as ldquo;one of the most personified and greatest districtsrdquo; of the Ottoman State for its valuable economic contributions both to reign and to the government. Hosting approximately 70 mines, Guuml;muuml;shane was the only province to have silver mine in Anatolia. It was one of the centers, which provided government copper coins. Besides their economic importance, the qualities of the mines which were used to meet the various needs especially during the campaigns, the statutes of the miners, and the operation of the mines, the social and economic policies of the government are revealed in this study.
