Abstract:

II. Duuml;nya Savaşı sırasında Almanya ve İtal-ya tarafından işgal edilen Yunanistanrsquo;da buuml;yuuml;k bir accedil;lık ve sefalet ortaya ccedil;ıktı. Savaşın yarattığı ortam nedeniyle gıda maddelerine olan talep artarken uuml;retim ve ithalat ise azaldı. Bu durum Yunanistanrsquo;da kıtlığa sebep oldu. Yuuml;z binlerce insanın accedil;lık ve salgın hastalıklardan ouml;lduuml;ğuuml; bu douml;nem de Yunanis-tanrsquo;a dostluk elini uzatan uuml;lke Tuuml;rkiye oldu. Yunanistanrsquo;daki kıtlık probleminin aşılması iccedil;in Tuuml;rkiyersquo;den gouml;nderilen gıda maddeleri halkın beslenmesi ve hayatta kalması nokta-sında ouml;nemli katkı sağladı. Tuuml;rkiyersquo;den Yuna-nistanrsquo;a fasulye, nohut, zeytin, balık, incir, yumurta gibi ccedil;eşitli gıda maddeleri gouml;nderili-yordu. Tuuml;rkiyersquo;den Yunanistanrsquo;a gouml;nderilen yar-dımların semboluuml; Kurtuluş Vapuru oldu. Kurtuluş Vapuru Yunanistanrsquo;a sadece gıda maddesi değil aynı zaman da umut taşıyordu. Kurtuluş Vapuru altıncı seferi iccedil;in Yunanis-tanrsquo;a giderken yoğun fırtınada battı. Bu du-rum Tuuml;rkiyersquo;nin Yunanistanrsquo;a gouml;nderdiği yardımları durdurmasına sebep olmadı. Tuuml;r-kiye hemen Dumlupınar Vapurursquo;nu kiralaya-rak Yunanistanrsquo;a yaptığı yardımları kaldığı yerden devam ettirdi. Bu douml;nemde Tuuml;rkiyersquo;nin gouml;nderdiği yardımlarda herhangi bir etnik grup diğerinden ayrılmadı. Bu sırada Yunanlılarla birlikte, İngiliz, Yugoslav, Ermeni ve başka etnik grup-lara değişik miktarlarda yardımlar gouml;nderildi. Gouml;nderilen yardımlar gouml;z ouml;nuuml;ne alındığında farklı meslek gruplarının da Yunanistanrsquo;daki meslektaşlarına değişik miktarlarda yardımda bulundukları gouml;ruuml;lmektedir. A great hunger and misery turned out in Greece which was occupied by Germany and Italy during World War II. While the demand for food increased, the imports declined beca-use of the conditions created by the war. This situation led to famine in Greece. During this period in wich people died of hunger and epidemic diseases, Turkey helped Greece. In order to overcome the famine in Greece, the food sent from Turkey made a significant contribution to peoplersquo;s survival in Greece. Various food items such as eggs, beans, chickpeas, olives, fish, figs were sent to Greece from Turkey. The symbol of the aids sent to Greece from Turkey was Kurtulus Steamer. She carried not only food to Greece but also hope. Kurtulus Steamer sank in her sixth voyage to Greece in a strong storm. This situation didnrsquo;t stop the aids from Turkey to Greece. Turkey, immediately rented Dumlupınar Steamer to continue sending the aids. In this period, any ethnic group was not discriminated fort he aids sent by Turkey. Meanwhile, besides the Greeks, different amounts of aid sent to other ethnic groups, such as British, Yugoslav, Armenian etc. Given the aids to Greece, it is seen that many different professional groups sent various amount of aids to their collegues in Greece.
