Abstract:

In addition to human dimensions and economic dimensions, health and safety at work, as in Turkey, laws and regulations have been introduced into force in many countries. These studies have established rules aimed at protecting the health of employees and especially the rules that must be followed by employers. Specifically in Turkey, the implementation of various arrangements and necessary measures under the Work Act No. 4857 published in the Official Gazette of 10 June 2003 is considered the kilometre stone of these works. With these studies we are in the process of adaptation to the European Union, the work accidents have been minimized, so the state-state structure has entered a process of intense improvement both economically and socially. However, the age-related events have not eliminated the fact that the deficiencies in the Labour Health and Safety Act should be removed. In accordance with the Law on Occupational Health and Safety No. 6331, which was accepted by publication in the Official Gazette on 30 June 2012 and implemented in private enterprises on 01 January 2013, from 1 July 2014 all enterprises, including public enterprises, have been obliged to apply and monitor the Occupational Safety and Safety measures according to the law. This study examined the requirements, obligations and details of the 6331 Law on Occupational Health and Safety, which began to be implemented, and the implementation of it in the Istanbul Fire Agency.
