Abstract:

Objective: The main purposes of this research are to identify existing problems related to agricultural financing resources by also making use of the field study and to offer solutions. Material and Methods: The main material of the research is the survey study conducted with the farmers in the research area. Apart from the survey data, the Farmer Registration System (ÇKS) data recorded by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in the field of crop production was used, as well. The records of the farmers surveyed by obtaning from the data of the National Milk Registration System were included in the data set. Results were evaluated with descriptive statistics and Likert scale. Results: While debt ratio of farmers according to their incomes were found high in general, moreover this ratio was higher in low-income farmer groups. The number of banks to which farmers borrowed increased. Despite the intensive use of credit, there was no significant increase in agricultural income or scale, as well. Conclusion: More affordable solutions should be taken into consideration as to land size, income level and production pattern of the farmers in the design of financial loan to be offered to the farmer. Furthermore, it should be pay more attention and be checked for proper usage of loan.
