COVID-19 Pandemisinin Hemşirelerin Vicdani Algı Düzeyine Etkisi

Abstract:

Bu araştırma, COVID-19 Pandemisinin hemşirelerin vicdani algı düzeyine etkisinin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapıldı. Araştırma kesitsel, tanımlayıcı bir araştırma olup, araştırmanın örneklemini bir eğitim ve araştırma hastanesinin hemşireleri (n=140) oluşturdu. Veriler, Tanıtıcı Bilgiler Formu, Vicdan Algısı Ölçeği ile toplandı. Hemşirelerin, %60,00’ının COVID-19 tanısı aldığı, %72,14’ünün COVID-19 (+) olan hastaya bakım verdiği, %62,14’ünün aile/yakınlarına bulaştırma korkusu nedeniyle zorlandığı, %59,29’unun mesleki anlamda yıpranmışlık hissettiği, %62,14’ünün vicdani olarak zorlandığını ifade ettiği saptandı. Vicdan Algısı Ölçeği genel puan ortalaması 58,87±10,98, Duyarlılık Alt Boyutu puan ortalaması 50,86±9,19, Otorite Alt Boyutu puan ortalaması 8,01±2,55 bulundu. COVID-19 Pandemisi sürecinde, hemşirelerin vicdani algı düzeylerinin yüksek olduğu hemşirelerin büyük çoğunluğunun COVID-19 (+) olan hastaya bakım verdiği yarısından fazlasının COVID-19 tanısı aldığı, aile/yakınlarına bulaştırma korkusu nedeniyle zorlandığı, mesleki anlamda yıpranmışlık hissettiği saptandı. Bu araştırma sonucuna göre, hemşirelere kriz durumlarıyla başa çıkma, vicdani sorumlulukla ilişkili eğitim verilmesi, farklı kurumlarda çalışan hemşirelerle ve diğer sağlık çalışanlarıyla benzer çalışmaların, özellikle baş etmeyle ilgili girişimsel çalışmaların yapılması, kurumlarda esnek mesai saatleri ve birimler arası dönüşümlü çalışma sistemlerinin oluşturulması, önerilmektedir.

The Effect Of The Covid-19 Pandemic On Nurses' Conscientious Perception Levels

This research was conducted in order to determine the effect of the COVID-19 Pandemic on nurses' conscientious perception levels. The study was a cross-sectional, descriptive study, and the sample of the study consisted of nurses (n=140) of a training and research hospital. The data were collected with the Introductory Information Form, the Perception of Conscience Scale. It was found that 60.00% of the nurses were diagnosed with COVID-19, 72.14% provided care to the patient with COVID-19 (+), 62.14% were forced due to fear of infecting my family/relatives, 59.29% felt worn out professionally, 62.14% stated that they were conscientiously forced. The general mean score of the Nurses' Perception of Conscience Scale was 58.87±10.98, the mean score of the Sensitivity Sub-Dimension was 50.86±9.19, and the mean score of the Authority Sub-Dimension was 8.01±2.55. During the COVID-19 Pandemic process, nurses' conscientious perception levels were high; the vast majority of nurses’ care for patients with COVID-19 (+); it was determined that more than half of the nurses were diagnosed with COVID-19, had difficulties due to the fear of infecting their family/relatives, and felt professionally worn out. According to the results of this research, it is recommended to provide nurses with training on coping with crisis situations, conscientious responsibility, similar studies with nurses working in different institutions and other health professionals, especially interventional studies on coping, flexible working hours in institutions and the creation of alternate working systems between units.
