Bu araştırmanın amacı lise öğrencilerinin okul iklimine ilişkin algılarının öğrenci bağlılığı ve prososyal davranış geliştirme arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. Araştırmanın verileri Malatya il merkezinde öğrenimlerine devam eden lise öğrencilerinden elde edilmiştir. İlişkisel tarama modelinde yapılan bu araştırmanın evrenini, 2018-2019 eğitim öğretim yılında Malatya il merkezindeki liselerde öğrenim gören öğrenciler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma farklı lise türlerinde eğitim gören 1321 öğrenci üzerinde yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın verileri Okul İklim Ölçeği (OİÖ), Öğrenci Bağlılığı Ölçeği (ÖBÖ) ve Olumlu Sosyal Davranışlar Ölçeği (OSDÖ) kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde yüzde, ortalama, varyans analizi, korelasyon analizi, çoklu regresyon analizi teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada, okul iklimi ölçeğinin alt boyutlarıyla öğrenci bağlılığı ve prososyal davranış ölçeklerinin alt boyutları arasında pozitif anlamlı ilişkinin olduğu yalnız olumlu sosyal davranışların özgeci alt boyutuyla negatif yönde ilişkinin varlığı tespit edilmiştir. Çoklu regresyon analizi sonucunda, okul ikliminin öğrencilerin bağlılığını ve olumlu sosyal davranış geliştirme eğilimini anlamlı düzeyde yordadığı belirlenmiştir. Çalışmanın sonunda, politika yapıcılara, uygulayıcılara ve araştırmacılara öneriler sunulmuştur.
The purpose of this research is to study the relationship between student commitment and prosocial behavior development of high school students' perceptions about the school climate. The data of the research was obtained from high school students who continued their studies in the center of the Malatya province. The universe of this research conducted in the Relational Scanning model is formed by students studying at high schools in the center of the province of Malatya in the 2018-2019 educational year. The study was conducted on 1321 students studying in different kinds of high school. The data of the study was collected using the School Climate Scale (OIE), the Student Engagement Scale (ÖBÖ) and the Positive Social Behavior Scale (OSDÖ). In the analysis of data, percentage, average, variance analysis, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis techniques have been used. The study identified the existence of a negative relationship between the lower dimensions of the school climate scale; the positive meaningful relationship between the lower dimensions of the student commitment and the prosocial behavior scale; and the subdimensional negative relationship between the subdimensional positive social behavior and the subdimensional negative. The results of multiple regression analysis have found that the school climate significantly influences the student’s commitment and the tendency to develop positive social behavior. At the end of the study, recommendations were presented to policy makers, practitioners and researchers.
The aim of this study is to examine the relationship among high school students' perceptions of school climate, student commitment and prosocial behavior development. The population of this research, which is conducted in the form of relational survey model, was achieved by high school students located in the center of Malatya province in the 2018-2019 academic year. The research was conducted on 1321 students studying in different high schools. The data of the study were collected by using the School Climate Scale, Student Commitment Scale and Positive Social Behavior Scale. Percentage, mean, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis techniques were used for data analysis. In the study, the subdimensions of the school climate scale; it was determined that there was a negative relationship between altruism sub-dimension of positive social behaviors and positive correlation among student commitment and prosocial beahvior scales. As a result of multiple regression analysis, it was determined that school climate significantly predicted students' commitment and positive social behavior. At the end of the study, suggestions were made to policy makers, practitioners and researchers.
