Abstract:

The Dada movement, which contains the philosophy that everything can be used as an art object, is actually an anti-art movement that protests against the cruelty of World War I and the world that allows this cruelty to occur. In this context, the Advocates, who questioned all the forms and formulas of art, eventually created new forms of art. The Dada movement, which lost its influence in 1923, did not actually find any end, and continued to show itself in its formal characteristics on the basis of modern art movements that emerged in the first half of the 20th century. Specifically in the 1960s, the Fluxus and Hapenning movements were influenced by Dada as a pioneer. Also, the constructive discouraging understanding seen after the 1970s of Dada is only the 20th century. The evidence is that there is no movement that affects the art flows seen at the beginning. With the appearance of Dada, the term art has expanded with different visual narratives, shaped into a different appearance than the old meaning. As it has influenced all branches of art and caused new directions, it has also given the design field a different visual narrative style. It has created a different visual language, especially through collage and photomontage techniques. In the work of important designers of today and the nearest past, they are also directly influenced by the Dada movement. In this article, according to the examples studied in this context, we will discuss where the modern design art influenced by the Dada movement came.
