Abstract:

Local governments, as a democratic governance unit, were trying to make my citizenship by providing public services in accordance with the expectations and desires of citizens. It is important for the municipalities, which are the closest service unit to the public, to be sensitive to the needs and desires of the public, to gain the continuous support and pleasure of the public. In this study, from the services offered by the Silifke Municipality, the satisfaction levels of citizens living in Silifke were tried to be determined. In this context, it has been studied whether satisfaction from services differs according to gender, age, level of education, level of income and the neighborhood in which it resides. The survey method is applied to determine the level of satisfaction of citizens benefiting from municipal services and the data is programmed by SPSS 12.0 package to the computer environment. In the determination of citizenship, the frequency distribution, and in the determination of differences, t-test and anova analyses were made.
