Canlı bir varlık olan dil, zamanla o dili kullanan milletin başka kültürlerle teması sebebiyle başka milletlerin dillerinden etkilenir. Bu etkilenme en çok kelime sahasında meydana gelir. Batı Türkçesinin oluşturulması esnasında Türkçe, coğrafî ve kültürel ilişki içinde bulunduğumuz, gelişmiş birer yazı diline sahip Arap ve Fars medeniyetinin dillerinden etkilenmiştir. Türkçeye o dönemde yani 11. Yüzyıldan itibaren Arapça ve Farsçadan kelimeler girmeye başlamıştır. Her dilin kendine ait bir ses yapısı vardır. Türkçeye giren bu kelimeler bazı ses olayları geçirmiştir. Bu ses olaylarından biri de göçüşme/metatezdir. Göçüşme kelime içinde komşu veya uzak bazı seslerin yer değiştirmesidir. Göçüşme, değişen seslerin yerine göre yakın göçüşme ve uzak göçüşme olmak üzere ikiye ayrılır. Bundan başka yer değiştiren seslerin ünlü veya ünsüz olmalarına göre ünsüz-ünsüz göçüşmesi, ünsüz-ünlü göçüşmesi, ünlü-ünlü göçüşmesi ve bir kelime içinde hem ünlü hem ünsüz göçüşmesi olmak üzere dört çeşit göçüşme vardır. Bu çalışmada, Derleme Sözlüğü’nde yer alan Arapça asıllı kelimelerde yukarıda saydığımız dört çeşit göçüşmenin de meydana geldiği, örnekleriyle ortaya konulmuştur.
Language, which is a living entity, is influenced by the languages of other nations over time due to the contact of the nation using that language with other cultures. This influence occurs mostly in the field of words. During the creation of Western Turkish, Turkish was influenced by the languages of the Arab and Persian civilizations, with which we have geographical and cultural relations and each of which had a developed written language. Words from Arabic and Persian began to enter Turkish from the 11th century. Every language has its own phonological structure. These words that entered Turkish have undergone some phonological changes. One of these phonological phenomena is metathesis. Metathesis is the displacement of some neighboring or distant sounds within the word. Metathesis is divided into two: near metathesis and distant metathesis, depending on the location of the changing sounds. Moreover, there are four types of metathesis, depending on whether the displaced sounds are vowels or consonants: consonant-consonant metathesis, consonant-vowel metathesis, vowel-vowel metathesis, and both vowel and consonant metathesis in a word. In this article, it has been demonstrated with examples that the four types of metathesis mentioned above occur in the words of Arabic origin in the Compilation Dictionary.
