Satir first evolves in Greek and Latin arts. After this path of development, in the Roman era, the principle of "pronouncement of the land" and the principle of "location of the evil" became an art form. The satir is a subtype of humor because the satirist carries the object of criticism into the field of laughter on the fictional level and keeps it there. The artist can choose the individual, the community groups, legal personalities and other elements as "offers" and put them on the target of criticism. The satirical text, expressed in an open, sharp, aggressive language and style, is often benefited by the techniques of irony and parody. The resolution of satirical texts imposes the awareness and knowledge that those texts are intended to have satirical criticism as a prerequisite. Zira in satirical texts is not fiction, but "party structure" essential. Depending on this, a number of fictional or technical problems may be present. The reason is the priority of the discovery of the ridiculous in crowded scenes. Therefore, every approach to the analysis requires the knowledge of the characteristics of the satir; this is directly related to the disclosure of the purpose and success of the work. Refik Halit Karay, one of the strongest historians of Turkish literature, can be considered a successful satirist because of his language, his strength, his ability to capture irony. In this context, the stories of the "Sheftali Gardens" and "Yellow Honey" in Karay's Country Stories offer the possibility to be treated as an example of a satir. The purpose of this study is to reveal the satirical elements in the aforementioned stories by a comparative assessment. Finally, it is intended to reveal the satirist attitudes in Karay's texts.
