Abstract:

The aim of this study is to examine the postgraduate studies on the life skills of primary school students, by document analysis method. In line with the purpose of the study, a total of 50 postgraduate theses conducted between 2017-2022 were examined. Within the scope of this purpose, main features of the studies examining the life skills of students studying in primary schools are discussed. The study was conducted in a qualitative design. Document analysis was used to collect data, and descriptive analysis for analysis. In the examination of the mentioned postgraduate studies; The "Publication Review Form" developed by the researchers benefitting from the relevant literature was used. Publication review form was examined by years of the study research, data types, research designs, sample group and finally their themes. According to the research findings; It is seen that the postgraduate studies on the life skills of the students are mostly carried out in 2022 and quantitative research methods are preferred as the research type. At the same time, when the theses are examined according to the research themes, it is seen that the codes of "joy" and "excitement" come to the fore in the theme of "the ability to cope with emotions and stress" of primary school students.
