Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of rhythmic movement therapy with music on independence level of daily living and activity performance in two cases who was idiopathic parkinsonism. Materials and Method: The sociodemographic questionnaire which formed by researcher, Functional Independence Measurement (FIM) for determination of independency in activities of daily living (ADL) and Canadian Occupational Performance Measurement (COPM) for determination of activity performance were applied in both cases. The music preferences of the cases were identified as instrumental nostalgic music with music interest checklist which prepared by researcher. The speed of music was increased gradually with Audocity program. The intervention program was created with analyzing the movement that necessary ones in ADL. The intervention was applied 6 weeks, 1 session each week and 45 minute each session as a group activity. Results: It wasn’t observed distinctive change at the independency level of ADL of 70 year old Case 1 and 66 year old Case 2 but statistical significant changes were found in activity performance and satisfaction scores of COPM. conclusion: It is concluded that rhythmic movement therapy with music is effective on increasing the performance and satisfaction in ADL of people with parkinsonism. The productivity of rehabilitation process can increase with using the rhythmic movement therapy with music. It is thought that if the length of the intervention duration increases, positive significant changes may occur on ADL
